We're looking for a new cohort of Young Producers aged 18-25 to programme our next youth-led takeover event!
The successful Young Producers scheme has so far supported 9 young people to develop skills in event programming, marketing and event management to produce 3 successful live events showcasing local talent.
On Friday 3rd November we are presenting Ray Lee’s Chorus – a monumental outdoor installation of giant sculptures and a celestial choir of spinning sound machines - in Theatre Square. We are asking our Young Producers to programme and produce a Light and Sound Takeover for audiences to enjoy alongside this spectacle. The event is part of Circulate, a wider programme of free outdoor performance for the people of Newham.
As a Young Producer, you will have the opportunity to attend 9 sessions at SCAC where you will gain professional advice and guidance in programming, marketing and events management. We will support you in planning the event and give you time and a budget to work as a team to produce it.

It’s been a wonderful experience and taught me a lot about the reality of putting on an event. It’s been very insightful and I’ve learnt more here than at any other event.participant
It really opened up by eyes to things that I had never considered before. Definitely put me out of my comfort zone and made me build by confidence and interpersonal skills by working in a team.participant
Being part of the Young Producers has given me a greater general knowledge of how to plan and run a music event more thoroughly as we were entrusted with running all aspects of the event.participant
