How far would you go for a cause you believed in? How far is too far?

Ireland. 2018. Abortion is still illegal, another pregnant girl dies and Maia is forced into action. Hear a story that could divide a nation, win or lose a vote, and make history.

This multi-award nominated, five star play challenges the choices we are given, uproots the lies and the legacies we inherit, and boldly protests for the power of the individual.

Created by Laura Wyatt O’Keeffe, who is an Irish multi-award nominated performer, writer and facilitator. She makes theatre, poetry and chaos about women, labels and rebels. Laura has written and performed in wish i was… (Smock Alley Dublin) and Vesta (Brighton Fringe Award Nominee 2013). Laura has also written After Medea (Malta), Jean, Where Memories Live (National Theatre Malta) and Every Body.

Vessel is both poignant and subtle. The minimal set and direction make way for excellent writing to shine.

"The play is brilliantly written and the two actors convincingly portray two ordinary people who are thrown together through extraordinary circumstances. Vessel is a powerful, thought-provoking drama that will stay with you long after you leave the theatre." - The Wee Review

"O’Keeffe’s performance is multilayered – she’s vulnerable, strong, fallible and human" - The Stage
