This year we’re teaming up with Young & Serious who are taking over our building for one night only. Expect pop up live music performances and outdoor activity in this evening exploring light and sound though multiple art forms.
Line up includes:
Long Legged Creatures
This Leeds-based band have a taste for wonky harmonies, heavy grooves, and a knack for creating a sense of unease. Performing with producer Ross Wilson, whose driving electronic dance music blends the recklessness with a nod to the deeper UK dance sound, the band's infectious melodies are pure creative dexterity.
A young trio who create original music by applying their jazz improvisation background to a MIDI based electronic set up. Their fresh blend of virtuoso jazz and electronic dance music has wowed audiences at Love Supreme Festival, London Jazz Festival (JazzNewBlood), Sofar London, and Jazz re:freshed.
Installation by Lumen Studios
Focusing on themes of astronomy and light, this art collective create work that aims to raise a dialogue about how humanity understands existence. Lumen Studios regularly exhibit in churches and galleries, transporting audiences into another world through their clever use of shape and projections in their installation.
Dora the Drawer
Local artist Dora's work aims to augment an audience's visual experience at a gig by capturing the energy and memory of a show using live visual art. She has recently painted at the London Jazz Festival, Shoreditch Town Hall and the Barbican, working with performers such as Brad Mehldau, Shabaka Hutchings, Ezra Collective, Clark Tracey and more.
During the takeover you’ll see her painting the acts on stage, and also get a chance to have a go yourself.
