Our E15 Jazz Sessions favourites raise the roof with a special evening of top quality jazz and rhythms.

This stellar line-up includes the skilful and popular British funk trombonist Dennis Rollins, one of the world's leading exponents of Latin-jazz violin Omar Puente, outstanding vocalist and composer Juliet Kelly, and the band Local Authority, made up of pianist Diân Gasper and guitarist Ed Riches.

Dennis Rollins

Well-known on the British and international jazz scene and celebrated for his versatility and unique approach to the trombone, Dennis Rollins has lent his unique and stylish talents to some of the world's top jazz and pop personalities including Courtney Pine, Baba Maal, Jamiroquai, US3, Brand New Heavies, and Blur.

Omar Puente

Cuban-born violinist and composer Omar Puente brings together elements of jazz, classical and Cuban music. Having lit up stages across the globe for decades, over the course of his career Puente has released two successful albums and has worked on projects with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as well as playing alongside greats including Tito Puente, Denys Baptiste, Jools Holland and Omara Portundo.

Juliet Kelly

Acclaimed vocalist and composer Juliet Kelly is hailed as one of the UK’s finest jazz stars. With a distinctive velvety voice and eclectic musical influences ranging from 80s pop to classic novels, she has released four critically acclaimed albums and has performed alongside the likes of Courtney Pine, Seb Rochford and Talvin Singh.

Local Authority

Formed of pianist Diân Gasper and guitarist Ed Riches, this infectious and emotive duo bring a contemporary twist to classic rhythms. Described as ‘a striking mixture of soul-jazz, country-blues, gospel and hip-hop’, expect electro-acoustic textures, lyrical melodies and infectious beats from this dynamic duo.

Tickets cost £10 in advance or £12 on the door. Advance price tickets are available until 6pm on the day of the performance.
