Step in…therapeutic movement with Siobhan Hesketh
Gives older adults of all abilities the opportunity to move and be physical in a way that is relaxing, fun and safe. You can join us online from home alone or with others, and we look forward to seeing some older adults in a park once its safe. There is no right or wrong movement, it is about what feels right for you. Step in… and join Siobhan to enjoy relaxing, creative & fun therapeutic movement for your wellness and wellbeing.
Weekly online Sessions from Thurs 29 April to Thurs 20 May. We are hoping to enjoy the last 4 therapeutic movement sessions from
27 May onwards in person at local outdoor space in East London.
Will be offering workshops over a cup of tea to give you more writing time and work with two poets to help spark ideas and connect with other people on the project. Participants who join in on the workshops will have their writing featured in the anthropology.
Join TOAST Poetry for their creative reading and letter writing sessions. Connect with your neighbours, your local area, write about your fondest memories, or reflect on your life through a series of exciting writing prompts sent directly to you.
Online Sessions start From Thurs 6 May and will happen every Tues and Thurs at 2pm until Tues 1st June
Life with Us Now
Having fun together is something we always want space for our Older Adults to enjoy. Life with Us Now, produced by multidisciplinary-creative producer Ruth Sutoyé, will bring participants together through music, poetry and movement.
The sessions are held online and start from 29 April - 01 June
Jazanne Arts place older people at the heart of their work, an will be bringing storytelling and creative arts to life through performing arts.
Jazanne Arts are especially excited to deliver ‘Meeting Places’ with Stratford Circus and look forward to welcoming the Age Well, a group of primarily Caribbean, older Newham residents, as their participants, cast & crew from 28 April - June.
‘Meeting places’ will inspire stories both real and imagined, about characters the participant’s meet and the stories they share as they journey to discover & reminisce tales about significant places in Newham their community.
